H.E Governor Patrick Keturet Ole Ntutu continued with his month-long countywide development tour with the commissioning of the newly constructed ECDE classrooms and health facilities in Ilmotiok ward, Narok West Sub county.
The governor officially opened for operations ECDE classrooms at Nkurumet, Kutete and Katet Primary schools; Olamerikai ECDE classroom at Chemaluktany Village; Ilmotiok ECDE and a classroom at Ring’wa Secondary School. A maternity wing at Mulot Health Center, Ilmotiok maternity wing and Ilmotiok borehole are also among the projects that Governor Ntutu commissioned in Ilmotiok ward.
” These projects, prioritized in the previous financial year, reflect the commitment of my administration to collaborate closely with Mwananchi through public participation, ” said Governor Ntutu.
The commissioning of Ilmotiok maternity wing is of great significance to the residents of Ilmotiok ward since expectant women from the surrounding villages will no longer have to travel as far as Longisa in Bomet County to bring forth life.
The new maternity wing at Mulot Health Center will provide the residents of Oloomirani, Laluk, Olopirik, Kuto, Chepinyiny, Kutete, and the surrounding villages with faster maternal healthcare services. The facility is fully equipped with prenatal, antenatal, and newborn units and is solar powered.
The operationalization of a borehole at Ilmotiok primary will improve sanitation standards at the school and provide convenient and accessible clean and safe water for use, not only by the school but also by the surrounding villages.
