Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu has conducted a development tour of Mara and Siana wards with the commissioning of Olmusereji, Lemek and Mararianta Water Projects in Mara Ward, Narok West Sub county. These water projects will ensure that there is continuous water supply for both livestock and residents of the areas.
He then proceeded to inspect and commission the Mara Bridge, which was repaired after the damage caused by the recent heavy rains. The bridge connects the Maasai Mara National Reserve to the other section of the Mara Triangle.
The governor also inspected the ongoing road maintenance works on the 12km Oloolaimutia Road connecting Sekenani gate to Oloolaimutia centre. This road adds to the 20 km of road network around Oloolaimutia centre with an extension of the Oloolaimutia-Orngayanet Road spanning 7.4 Kms. In addition, the 15km Kijirjir road extending to Nkineji in Siana Ward has also undergone extensive road maintenance works, including murraming, grading, and installation of culverts
These road networks will link nearby schools, including Oloolaimutia, Empoo, Mara Shiners, and Orpalagilagi Primary Schools, and provide easy access to Enkitori Dispensary.
