As part of the ongoing month-long county-wide projects inspection and commissioning, H. E. Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu visited Kilgoris Central Ward in Trans-Mara Sub county to inspect and commission a series of projects that had been rolled-out for implementation in the past year.
The Governor’s first stop of the day was at Kilgoris Level 4 hospital where he conducted an inspection tour of the facility to witness first-hand the state of the facility and the nature of service delivery at the facility. The Governor also launched the murraming, grading, and repair works on the Ole Ntore Junction – Ololtele Junction Road, which spans approximately 6.4 Kms and inspected the ongoing construction of a maternity wing at Tororek dispensary.
” Tororek maternal unit is 95 % complete. This facility will greatly benefit the vast villages of Tororek, Pimbiniet, Oronkai, Lakwenyi, and the surrounding areas. Mothers from these regions would otherwise have to travel several Kms to Kilgoris town to access maternity services, ” Said Governor Ntutu.
Some of the projects that have also been given a green light by the Governor include: the recently completed roads that serve Kilgoris town and it’s environs and a maternity wing at Ng’anayio Dispensary.
” Under my leadership, Narok County is committed to ensuring that residents have access to the highest possible standards of medical care, in line with our goal of achieving universal healthcare, ” Added Governor Ntutu.
