Roads Upgrading and Rehabilitation

H.E. Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu embarked on a development tour of Ololulung’a, Narok, and Nairagie Enkare towns to officially launch the rehabilitation and upgrading of several key roads across the towns.

The projects flagged-off for rehabilitation include the 3 km Ololulunga Centre-Masaantare Junction road in Ololulung’a, the 1 km Lower Lenana Loop, the 1.6 km Prison Loop, and the 300-meter Noolmongi-Polytechnic road in Narok Town. Additionally, the 5.5 km Nairagie Enkare Junction-Nairagie Enkare Market road was flagged off for rehabilitation and upgrade by Governor Ntutu.

These road rehabilitation projects aim to significantly improve the infrastructure and overall standards of the county’s road network. Furthermore, Governor Ntutu commissioned the lighting system at the Nairagie Enkare food market.

The Governor concluded his development tour of the day by addressing a public baraza in Nairagie Enkare, where he donated ten 100-seater tents to various community groups from the local villages. He emphasized the importance of these public barazas, which he has been holding in conjunction with projects commissioning, as essential forums for receiving and responding to community feedback on ongoing development initiatives.

The beneficiaries of the ten 100-seater tents comprised of the youth, women, and individuals with special needs. These tents will go along way in enhancing their income effectively contributing to their economic empowerment.
