The County Department of Roads has initiated a comprehensive infrastructure overhaul program for the 2024/25 financial year by inspecting ongoing road maintenance works on the Endonyo Rika-Orkinyei-Esenotoi-Nkornkori roads, which link Mara and Siana wards.

The roll-out of this program will ensure that all roads across the county are graded, repaired, and maintained effectively, enhancing mobility for people, goods, and services, and thereby improving the quality of life for the residents of Narok County. Key activities in the program include grading, murraming/gravelling, and drainage works, aiming to cover over 33 km of road per month in every ward. This will translate to 1,000 km in the first four months (phase one).

To ensure effective implementation of this year’s program, roadwork machinery has been deployed across the following wards:

Narok North: Olorropil Ward

Narok South: Sogoo Ward

Narok West: Siana Ward

Kilgoris: Kilgoris Central Ward

Emurua Dikirr: Kapsasian Ward

Upon completion of the agreed scope of work in each ward, the equipment will be moved to the neighboring ward.
