Ololmasani Ward Development Tour

Development tour of Ololmasani ward has seen H. E. Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu commission as well launch the construction of several projects as highlighted below:

Commissioning of a newly constructed cattle dip at Lelechwet, which will serve the residents of Abosi, Kabuson, Kelonget, and Ndamama.

Launch of the construction of a footbridge connecting Olmelil Market to Siriat Primary School. This new bridge will significantly improve access for schoolchildren ensuring safe and easy crossing of the river.

Commissioning of Whitehouse ECDE Centre in Sikowet Village. This project addresses the urgent need for an ECDE classroom in the area, providing a critical learning space for young children.

Commissioning of a new Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) center at Meregito. This ECDE center will cater to young learners from the communities of Kimukul, Mukenyi, Nagwenyi, and the Nkorika border.

Inauguration of the Chepkumiat borehole water project, which now supplies clean water to Kisiara Primary and Secondary Schools, Meregito Primary School, and the Chepkumiat community. The establishment of a designated water collection point along the border has played a pivotal role in easing tensions and resolving conflicts between the Kipsigis and Maasai communities, promoting harmony. The county government has also installed water troughs at Chepkumiat to ensure that livestock have a dedicated watering point, benefiting the local pastoralists and their herds.

Commissioning of a newly completed maternity wing at Njipiship. This facility will significantly benefit mothers from Njipiship, Ndamama, Oronkai, Kabuson, Mukenyi, and surrounding areas by providing a safe place for childbirth, thereby contributing to the reduction of child mortality rates.

In Takitech village, Governor Ntutu commissioned a fully equipped maternity wing at Chemalinket Takitech dispensary.

Commissioning of Sinendet ECDE classroom with a capacity of 40 learners and will serve learners from Kamerumeru, Chesonoi, and Kimananga areas.

At Kamermeru secondary, the Governor commissioned a water project at the school.This water was piped from Chesonoi spring, at the foot of Abossi hills. The county government is planning to distribute water to Kimanga, Kamermeru, Simotwet, Chesoen and other villages in Ololmasani ward.

A fully furnished Kondamet ECDE classroom has now joined the list of early learning facilities that Governor Ntutu has officially opened for operations across the county. The young learners of Kondamet area who oftenly missed school, as a result of the long distance from Kondamet to Kapchumbe Primary School are now guaranteed of uninterrupted learning at a facility that is closer home.

Also commissioned was Kapweria Maternity wing which is fully equipped and ready to serve expectant mothers who initially had to travel to as far as the neighbouring Bomet County seeking maternal services.
