Olokurto Ward Development Tour

Official commissioning of Olopirik Dispensary commenced H.E. Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu’s today development tour of Olokurto Ward. The facility will enhance access to healthcare services for residents of Ilpoton, Olopirik, Waiyarata, Nesongoyo, Medungi, Kamurar, and the surrounding areas.

The Governor also commissioned a new maternity facility in Entiyani, which comprises an eight-bed capacity and a twin staff house. This facility will significantly improve maternal healthcare access for local residents.

The newly constructed Narok North Sub-County offices in Olokurto Town have also been commissioned and are ready for use. Road infrastructure within the ward is also undergoing significant improvements, with 30 kilometers of roads currently undergoing grading and gravelling. Notably, 4 kilometers of road around Olokurto Town has already been completed. The ongoing works, including the Eneengetia-Olokurto-Olposimoru Road, will enhance the transportation of agricultural produce and facilitate movement within the region.

Olokurto Level 4 Hospital is also under construction. This facility will bolster healthcare service delivery in the sub-county and aligns with the county government’s initiative of establishing a Level 4 Hospital in every Subcounty.

At Olooserian Mao Secondary School, Governor Ntutu presided over the distribution of bursary cheques worth Kshs 10.9 million to 1,715 student beneficiaries from the ward.
