Several projects in Ilkerin ward have been officially opened for operations over the three days of Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu’s development tour of the ward. They include:
Two ECDE classrooms and washrooms at Lelach Primary School which are now ready to serve the young learners from Kimugul, Chilani, Kapkwen, Chebulu and Ainamoi villages.
The newly graded and murrumed 2.5 Kilometers of road,across Ilkerin town, will go along way in easing movement across the town and alleviating the numerous challenges that bad road network had placed on businesses around the town.
Chepkeigei and Saunosiek ECDE compliant classrooms. These classrooms have a capacity to accommodate 35 pupils each and are a welcome improvement from the semi permanent structures that have for a long time served as a classroom.

Governor Ntutu also conducted an assessment of the recently completed Chilani-Moromisa-Asur road.
The newly constructed Chepkisa Footbridge. The construction and commissioning of the Chepkisa Footbridge over Chepkisa River addresses the long-standing mobility challenges that the residents of Chepkisa Village have faced due to the lack of a safe crossing point. This footbridge now provides a vital link across the village, enabling safe movement of people, goods, and services throughout all seasons.
Inspection of Kamaget Dispensary, located in Kamaget Village, Ilkerin Ward. Kamaget Dispensary is an established government health facility initially constructed by a Non-Governmental Organization and serves a broad catchment area, encompassing Kamaget, Kilindani, Chepkisa, Kigonor, Torokwet, and Chebaibai villages.
Kiptenden Siria Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) Centre and two ECDE classrooms at Murkan Comprehensive School.
Laying of the foundation stone for the upcoming Murkan Maternity Wing and launching of the construction of the Murkan Livestock Saleyard.
A new Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) classroom at St. Paul’s Comprehensive School in Kitait village. This facility accommodates approximately 40 young learners from Kitait, Lelochonik, Kamasheton, and Araret villages and addresses a longstanding need for accessible learning institutions within the community.
Commissioning of two newly completed classrooms. These classrooms are ready to serve pre-primary students from the neighboring areas of Chang’ina, Chemamit, Lelechonik, Tumda, and Kaptala.
Two fully furnished Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) classrooms at Kaptala Primary School. These classrooms will provide a safe and conducive learning environment for approximately 80 young learners, adding to the current student population of 200 at Kaptala Primary School.
A modern, fully equipped, ECDE-compliant classroom at Kapsimotwo Primary School. This new facility replaces the temporary structure that had long served as the school’s ECDE classroom, marking a significant infrastructural milestone.
An ECDE classroom at Chesogori Primary School. Chesogori Primary School, though relatively new, provides essential education to learners from the villages of Korido, Kaptololo, and Changina.
Inspection of the ongoing upgrade of Emurua Dikirr Level Four Hospital. The County Government has upgraded this facility from a Health Centre to a Level Four Hospital through an official Gazette Notice published in the Kenya Gazette, commenced the construction of an Outpatient Department (OPD), which is now nearing completion, and has installed a three-phase power supply along with a backup generator to ensure reliable electricity.
